My mother-in-law held her 90th birthday party at the hotel and we had a fantastic day. The hotel helped organise the occasion and the proprietor, Gordon, and his staff provided exceptional service - friendly and welcoming. All our guests (30 plus) had a most enjoyable time and the food was excellent.
We also stayed overnight with friends. The accommodation was clean and tidy with views across the delightful garden (with roaming chickens). The rooms were certainly of a far superior standard to other hotels we have stayed at in the area.
We will be returning at some point soon and can certainly highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the South Somerset area.
The staff were very helpful. Lovely quite location, good size rooms. The bar was very welcoming and the food, evening meal, was exceptionally good and very reasonably priced. The beds and bed linen were of a very high quality. I spend a reasonable amount of time through work staying in five star hotels and I would rank Ash Country House Hotel right up there with the best. We will definitely use it again.

Stayed here again on our way through to Devon, but will be returning shortly for longer. House and grounds are very special and everything about this hotel is just wonderful, from the friendly greeting (usually by the owner) to the lovely calming rooms and the oh so comfy beds. The food must be tasted to be believed, fresh (much straight from the garden) cooked to perfection and beautifully presented by truly friendly staff who seem genuinely to want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A big thank you to them for, once again, making our trip so memorable. Can't wait to return.

Excellent stays in the Ambrosia Superior room and Crispin Room. It was really lovely being able to have a drink in the bar in a relaxed atmosphere too. Being Brits but currently living in the USA we truly appreciated the British feel of the place, polite, calm and efficient. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was lovely in the conservatory too. Thank you - will definitely consider staying when in the area again.

We counldn't have been happier with our experience at ash House Hotel. Our wedding went so perfectly, the staff's costomer service standard was second to none and Gordon ensured that every detail was taken care of.
Our family and guests were looked after and the venue was flexible and helpful with arrangements.
The food was excellent and beautifully served. Gordon and his team must have been worked so hard and yet made it look so easy. We were made to feel like royalty. The hotel was stunning and romantic, we loved it.
Thank you so much Gordon and his team.

The Ash Hotel has become a home away from home as we make regular visits to the area to visit our daughter at a nearby boarding school. The Alderman and Ambroisia rooms are extremely comfortable, fairly priced and spacious enough. Indeed they are a perfect combination for a traveling family of 4. Food is always nice, but our favorite meal is the breakfast, itself a simple but tasty affair. Staff are always helpful and friendly, whilst the gardens offer a pleasant place for a drink or even a meal, if the sun is shinning. Overall, a perfect stop for those finishing a multi hour drive!

We stayed here for a wedding. Lovely rooms with comfy beds and well appointed bathrooms. Very hospital, friendly staff providing good service that was not at all intrusive. Lovely gardens and peaceful location. It was lovely to return to Somerset after 40 years - beautiful as ever!
We visited Ash House Hotel again at the beginning of November this year. It was like going home. The house and staff make you feel that you are part of a private house party. As before, the room was excellent - their beds are truly comfortable - and the food and atmosphere are wonderful. We visited the local towns that we hadn't seen before and paddled around in the mist and rain looking forward to returning to the hotel to be greeted with a roaring log fire in the bar, a nice warm bedroom and a long hot bath! We hope to go again early next year and continue our excursions around Somerset and Dorset.
Had an excellent weekend visit to Somerton with a truly delightful stay in the Ash House Hotel a 5 minute drive away in Ash
Service was first rate and most friendly and helpful
Gordon was most accomodating and patiently helpful with all our questions and enquiries
Room was nice with an excellent en suite and travel cot for our baby was provided as promised
We had dinner in the orangery which was absolutely superb within a beautiful setting
An after-dinner drink in the snug bar was also enjoyable
Our breakfast the next day was also first rate
Would definetly use this hotel again when visiting area and would thoroughly recommend it for a very relaxing time away
I had the pleasure of staying at the Ash House Hotel for two nights. I was greeted with a warm welcome by Gordon the owner and Manger. My room was clean and well equipped the little touches of a jug of fresh milk and high quality tea and coffee were much appreciated. Situated in the quiet village of Ash, within substantial and impressive grounds, it is an easy 10 minuet drive to the centre of Yeovil. I never had the opportunity to try the restaurant but my fellow guests were very keen to tell me at breakfast what a treat I had missed. If the breakfast was an example of the Chef’s skill then I have no reason to doubt them. The ever friendly and immaculately turned out staff were a credit to the high standards that Gordon has set for his newly acquired and flourishing hotel. I am also reliably informed that there is a very good village pub within walking distance the hotel, I look forward to returning.
